Berk's Beans Coffee

We stopped in for a last-minute tasting, and Berk’s Beans was able to accommodate us without any issue. We had an incredible time. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable, and their love for coffee really came through. If you’re even remotely curious about coffee, don’t hesitate to go.

Cannot recommend this place enough. Wanted to do a tasting and the owner Greg was able to squeeze us in last minute. He is extremely knowledgeable and extremely personable, and you can immediately tell he not only cares about his craft, but also the industry as a whole. During our time there, we tasted some amazing coffees and learned about the process behind coffee, but also watched Greg interact with other people in the shop, who were in the same or adjacent industries. Greg demonstrates selflessness towards his peers and even potential competitors and his kind spirit is infectious. Equally important, the depth and breadth of coffee they have available is amazing. They roast to your preference, they do blends, single origins, from all over the world. They will work with you to find something you love, no matter your taste preferences. Definitely worth checking out. And he makes his own biscotti, which are delicious!

Went in and ordered a matcha and a pour over and the coffee and matcha was incredible. staff and owner were super kind and patient. super nice spot would recommend

I’m so happy to have been introduced to this coffee gem! I had a Kona Blend that Greg recommended, which I really enjoyed. And the atmosphere was lovely, especially hearing the coffee beans being roasted in the background. I also had a fun conversation with one of the employees Dean, who was happy to chat with me about the coffee roasting process. I highly recommend stopping by one of their weekend pop-ups and trying a coffee from Humbly Caffeinated Coffee as well!

Just visited! Really great coffee tasting experience and exploration of different regions of beans that they offer. Great variety of beans to taste from and love that they can roast them right then and there. I had the expresso blend which was really creamy and smooth and my husband had the Java that had a more tart acidic taste to me. Owner and staff were great and very down to earth. Definitely going to stop by there for more coffee and learning proper pour over methods. They also sell a variety coffee tools there as well. Thank you guys for a fun and warm experience chatting and learning from you guys.

We did a private coffee tasting with Greg and had an absolute blast!! From learning about and trying freshly roasted coffees from all over the world to Greg's homemade biscotti, we could not have asked for a better experience! Berk's Beans is a "hidden gem" in Concord and a really, really great tasting experience. Think elevated wine tasting except with coffee. Not to be missed!!!

Love Berk's Beans! We did a tasting and had an epic/caffeinated 1.5 hours trying great coffees talking with Greg about the differences. Felt very warm and welcoming throughout. A great gift!

A place for coffee lovers. The two staff members I met were passionate about the total coffee experience - from the source of the beans, to the roasting process, creating personal blends, and the pour over cup. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. A fun place to experience and enjoy coffee.

Stumbled into this location thanks to google vicinity maps. Jesse N. provided my boss and I unparalleled service and coffee knowledge last week when we were driving between customer visits. The friendliness and Coffee insight was on a level I could only hope to experience with other local business in the bay. If this was in my town of Petaluma, I would go there daily!

Mind blowing. Just off the hwy in Concord. Jesse expertly prepared an excellent Peruvian varietal pour over to make the rest of my drive manageable. I'm so glad I stumbled into this place. 50-80 types of quality green beans on hand at any moment, roasted to order. Even has lockers there for after hours pick-up. Can't wait to snag the coveted Yemani beans he is small batching for me tomorrow. Not your typical cafe or "specialty coffee" roaster. Truly a cut above the rest. Wish I had some right now. Buy with confidence!
